Leslie Johnson, M.A. Religion & Theology, Non-Denominational Officiant

I work with couples who seek a skilled professional for creating personalized language and meaningful ceremony to mark one of the most important milestones in their life. Some couples that I work with are religious but are of differing traditions, thus seeking an inter-faith ceremony. A lot of the couples for whom I officiate are not members of any specific religious tradition. I specialize in creating personalized ceremonies using language and unique forms of expression that suit your sensibilities...whether religious, inter-faith, non-religious, spiritual, or secular. Your wedding ceremony should be specifically about the two of you, encompassing your story, your beliefs and values, your hopes for the future, and more. 

The first wedding I officiated, for friends, was back in 1989! Later I found that I felt called to pursue this vocation as a professional. I attended graduate school at United Theological Seminary with a concentration in Comparative Theology and graduated with honors. I have now been a full-time, award-winning celebrant, writing ceremonies, orchestrating processionals, and officiating for couples for over twelve years. 

There are a multitude of details that experience provides, and that experience translates into your being cared for and supported, which results in your feeling calm and present on your wedding day. My background in coordination, and my familiarity with so many other collaborating vendors, is an added benefit which helps create a smooth flow of events for your wedding day.
